Stew made of pork, potatoes and varying other ingredients is absolutely one of the best summer foods prepared in a Muurikka pan. We have tested f.ex. broccoli, cauliflower, Brussel sprouts, various vegetable mixes, chili peppers, beans, carrots, asparagus, zucchini along with pork and potatoes and it’s always just as good – no matter what you use. As I already mentioned in my previous post about grilling, the weather has been a blessing in the sense that it has been possible to enjoy our meals in the shade of a huge maple tree. Although I can not help feeling pity for my garden drying up in spite of all the watering and for the raspberry bushes being full of unripe small berries, which are in danger of withering. When the summer began, it really rushed in. On the First of May we were still forced to change our plans to make food outdoors because of steady rain and cold weather. Since that the weather has been shiny and hot every single day. Our garden has to be watered all the time because it hasn’t rained a drop and I very much want to keep my lawn green and all the flower seedlings alive.
