When the summer began, it really rushed in. On the First of May we were still forced to change our plans to make food outdoors because of steady rain and cold weather. Since that the weather has been shiny and hot every single day. Our garden has to be watered all the time because it hasn’t rained a drop and I very much want to keep my lawn green and all the flower seedlings alive. Continue reading “Vegetables and pork meat baked in Muurikka griddle pan”
What on earth happened? I thought I was making just a relatively everyday minced meat risotto, which has always been very tasty. This one though turned out to be something so delicious that I possibly haven’t eaten such a good risotto ever before. Continue reading “Risotto made of melon, boletes, jalapenos and minced meat”
There happened to be two lambkin roasts in our freezer and so we decided to make them with potato wedges, asparagus and a gypsy mushroom sauce. It was such a delicacy that my mouth starts watering just by thinking of them or watching the picture above. Continue reading “Lambkin roast steaks”
Lasagne is a traditional Italian food which has been a great favorite in our family for years. I haven’t made it for the past few years since I’ve been a bit suspicious of the tastiness of gluten free lasagne sheets. Most of the gluten free pastas are quite tough even cooked and I have been afraid of making a somewhat “hard” lasagne. Continue reading “Lasagne with meat and boletes – gluten free”

Unlike my normal preparations of such fillets these are only marinated in garlic, lemon and salt marinade without any other herbs. Of course everybody can season the fillets according to their own taste. Continue reading “Garlic pork fillets and cauliflower chutney”
Meat patties are just an ordinary weekday meal, but whenever one make and eat them, they always are as good. Continue reading “Meat patties”
Many years ago meatloaf used to be a dish served on Sundays, on public holidays or at weddings and funerals. Nowadays I really don’t remember seeing it on any festive occasions or even heard of anyone still making it. How did that come to happen? Continue reading “Meatloaf and baked vegetables”
I use quite a lot of pork meat in one form or another when cooking and I could say that any kind of pork is good no matter how you make it or which kind of marinade or spices you use. Pork escalopes, sirloin and tenderloin steaks and roasts, chops, shredded meat, side of bacon, smoked bacon – they all have their own roles either in everyday meals or served at a banquet. Continue reading “Pork sirloin roast wrapped in bacon”
And here we have a dish which really wouldn’t need any kind of recipe. Meat can be anything from pork or beef to chicken, while the vegetables and spices can be chosen according to one’s own preferences. How much to make it depends on the size of the used pot and the number of diners. Continue reading “Pork and vegetable casserole”
